my design philosophy

My design philosophy can be explained in one word:
SIMPLIFY!
I firmly believe that less is more, especially when it comes to the internet. In web design, as well as the rest of my life, I prefer a "Zen-like" approach. I am also a big fan of both urban and Japanese art & culture. Much of my design influence comes from things like art, tattoos, graffiti, cars, fashion, music and film.
Most people use the internet to find information, although there are many good entertainment and shopping sites also. When you are looking for information, you need that information laid out in a logical and non-distracting way. This doesn't mean that the internet has to be boring though. Through effective use of color, a focus on cleanliness, and staying away from overly-busy designs, a website can be very pleasing to the eye while still delivering the information the end-user desires. This is exactly the kind of presentation my designs aspire to.
